SEAFORTH PAEDOPHILE STEPHEN HORROCKS ESCAPES PRISON DESPITE CHILD SEX OFFENCES

In a recent case heard at Liverpool Crown Court, Stephen Horrocks, a resident of Seaforth, was found guilty of serious sexual offences involving a young girl.

The court proceedings revealed disturbing details about the abuse that Horrocks inflicted on the child, beginning when she was only three years old.

Over a period of two years, the abuse intensified, with evidence indicating a pattern of escalating misconduct.

One of the most incriminating pieces of evidence was a video recording of one of the assaults, which was recovered and presented during the trial.

This footage played a crucial role in establishing the severity and nature of the offences.

The young girl, who was under 13 at the time, was compelled to give evidence against Horrocks through a pre-recorded interview conducted by specially trained officers, as Horrocks denied all allegations.

Horrocks was charged with multiple serious offences, including causing a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity and making and taking indecent images of children, covering all levels of indecency.

Despite the gravity of these charges, Horrocks was handed a relatively lenient sentence.

The court sentenced him to 24 months in prison, but this sentence was suspended for two years, meaning he would not serve time unless he committed further offences within that period.

Additionally, the court imposed several conditions aimed at rehabilitation and monitoring.

Horrocks is required to participate in a 60-day rehabilitation activity program, complete 220 hours of unpaid community work, and engage in a sex offender treatment program for the next two years.

These measures are intended to facilitate his rehabilitation and protect the community from potential future harm.
