STEVE HICKMAN FROM TUEBROOK JAILED FOR NEARLY 29,000 CHILD PORN IMAGES IN LIVERPOOL

In a disturbing case that has shocked the local community of Tuebrook, Liverpool, Stephen Hickman, aged 35, has been sentenced to prison after authorities uncovered an extensive collection of child exploitation material.

The investigation was initiated when police executed a raid on Hickman’s residence, located on Marlborough Road in Tuebrook, on February 2, 2010.

During the operation, law enforcement officers seized multiple electronic devices, including computers, CDs, and two iPods, which were subjected to detailed forensic analysis.

The search revealed a staggering total of 28,101 indecent images of children, along with 690 video files depicting child abuse.

These materials were found to have been downloaded and shared by Hickman through a file-sharing platform, indicating active participation in the distribution of such illegal content.

Prosecutor Simon Duncan presented the case at Liverpool Crown Court, outlining the severity of Hickman’s actions.

The defendant pleaded guilty to nine charges of making indecent images of children and three charges of distributing such material.

Additional charges related to similar offenses were left on file, reflecting the extensive nature of his activities.

Judge Roger Dutton delivered the sentence, which included a prison term of two and a half years.

The court also imposed a lifelong ban on Hickman working with children and mandated his registration on the sex offenders register for the remainder of his life.

The case underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat child exploitation and protect vulnerable victims from such heinous crimes.
