STEPHEN CRAIG FROM GRANGEMOUTH CAUGHT IN SEX OFFENDER BREACHES NEAR STIRLING AND CAMELON

In April 2021, Stephen Craig, a known sex offender residing at 18 Bankhill Court in Grangemouth, faced serious legal repercussions after breaching his bail conditions multiple times. The breaches occurred during incidents in the nearby areas of Camelon and Stirling between February 22 and February 28, 2019. Craig’s bail conditions explicitly prohibited him from having any contact with individuals under the age of 16 unless supervised by someone over 21. Despite these restrictions, Craig was found in the company of minors, raising significant concerns about his compliance and the safety of vulnerable young girls.

Prosecutor Rachel Wallace, representing the Crown, detailed the nature of Craig’s breaches. She stated that Craig was observed with a 13-year-old girl and other teenagers aged 16 to 17. The court was told that Craig spent approximately three hours with the 13-year-old girl, and later that same night, he returned to a residence where she was staying, this time under the supervision of an adult over 21. These actions directly contravened his bail conditions, which aimed to prevent such contact.

Further allegations revealed that Craig, who is registered as a sex offender, had also been in the company of a 15-year-old girl on other occasions. Additionally, he attempted to communicate with a 14-year-old girl via Snapchat, sending her a picture of a wall and asking her to
