QUEENBOROUGH MAN AVOIDS JAIL AFTER SENDING EXPLICIT IMAGES TO DECOY 14-YEAR-OLD
A pervert from Queenborough sent a picture of his erect penis to someone he believed was a 14-year-old child and offered to teach them how to masturbate, narrowly avoiding jail.Stefan German, 27 years old, started communicating with a child called “Nicky” and their conversations quickly became sexual.
Unbeknownst to him, he was talking with a decoy as part of a vigilante group.
The actions were exposed after screenshots of their conversations were shared with police.
German had also been found with several devices containing indecent images and videos of children.
He admitted attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and making indecent images when he appeared in court.
During the sentencing at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court, he was sentenced to eight months in prison, suspended for 18 months, and ordered to complete 300 hours of unpaid work and attend 20 rehabilitation sessions.
Additionally, he was issued a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £187 and court costs of £85.
Prosecutors highlighted his guilty plea and the fact that the number of indecent images and videos was in the single digits, and his defense emphasized that he was manipulated into communicating with the decoy and posed a low risk of reoffending.
