STOKE PERVERT SIMON MASSAMBA CAUGHT WITH SICKENING BESTIALITY IMAGES FROM LIBRARY COMPUTER
In a disturbing case that has shocked the local community, Simon Massamba, a 58-year-old resident of Stoke, was found in possession of highly explicit and illegal images depicting bestiality. The incident came to light after police uncovered the material on his mobile phone, which he had accessed through a computer at Stoke Library, part of the Stoke-on-Trent City Council facilities.According to reports, the images included three still photographs and three moving images, all of a graphic and disturbing nature. The police investigation was initiated after the images were discovered in March 2020, during a forensic examination of Massamba’s mobile device. The defendant had provided his phone’s PIN code, allowing investigators to access its contents. Once examined, the images were recovered, revealing the extent of his possession of extreme pornography.
During police interviews, Massamba attempted to justify his actions by claiming that the images originated from his homeland, the Democratic Republic of Congo. He explained that these images were created by individuals there to serve as a warning to women about the dangers of traveling to Greece and being exploited. However, this explanation did not mitigate the fact that he had downloaded and viewed these illegal images while in Stoke.
At Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court, the defendant pleaded guilty to two charges of possessing extreme pornographic material. Prosecutor Jonathan Dickinson highlighted that the images were found on his phone after a forensic examination, which confirmed their presence. Massamba admitted that he derived pleasure from viewing such material, despite being unaware that possessing such images was a criminal offense.
In sentencing, the court imposed a 12-month community order on Massamba. The order requires him to complete 50 hours of unpaid work and participate in a rehabilitation activity program for 25 days. Additionally, he was ordered to pay costs amounting to £300. The case underscores the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat the distribution and possession of illegal and harmful material, even when offenders claim ignorance of the law.
