KILBURN MAN SENTENCED TO 3.5 YEARS FOR SHARING SEXUAL IMAGES OF CHILDREN
A man in Kilburn used social media to communicate with children, share sexual images, and encourage them to sexually abuse their siblings.Simon Hynes, of Douglas Road, was initially investigated after reports in December 2022 indicated he possessed indecent images of children.During his arrest, authorities confiscated devices along with several knives, a machete, and an axe.
Numerous indecent images of children were found on these devices.
His social media accounts revealed interactions with children, including distributing indecent images and talking to children as young as eight.
These conversations involved sharing sexual images and encouraging abuse among siblings.Police are actively working to identify and support the victims Hynes communicated with.
Known usernames associated with Hynes include ‘sweetmale3700’, ‘Genuine uk guy looking for genuine horny uk girls’ and ‘bigboy38000_qjl’.
He pleaded guilty to 20 charges on April 27 at Southwark Crown Court, including three counts of taking indecent images of children, three counts of distributing these images, one count of possessing extreme images, and thirteen counts of attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child.
On July 30, he was sentenced to three and a half years in prison at Harrow Crown Court.Detective Chief Inspector Brian Kelleher, who led the investigation, expressed concern for the victims and praised the diligent work of the police team.
