TADLEY PAEDOPHILE PLEADS GUILTY TO 179 INDECENT IMAGES
In 2022, the Offender Database reported that Shaun Winchcombe, then 62, of Broad Halfpenny Lane, Tadley, Hampshire, appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.On Tuesday, 10 May 2022, Winchcombe pleaded guilty to multiple charges involving the production of indecent material.
The investigation established that between July 2020 and January 2021, Winchcombe made a total of 179 indecent images.
The collection included 13 images graded Category B and 166 graded Category C.
The judge noted that creating such material is a serious legal breach and contributes to ongoing harm to children.
The court reported that Winchcombe admitted to all counts, and further reports were needed to assess his risk to the community.
He was informed he will return to court on June 16 for final sentencing.
He was convicted of making Category B and C indecent images, activated notification requirements on the Sex Offenders Register, and a pre-sentence report was ordered.
Winchcombe is managed under MAPPA by Hampshire Constabulary, with his digital activity being monitored.
His status remains under scrutiny due to his history of accessing and creating vile digital material.
As a registered sex offender, he must comply with residence and notification requirements, and any breach could result in immediate arrest.
