FLINTSHIRE MAN JAILED FOR ONLINE CHILD SEXUAL PREDATION
Shaun Sansom, 47, of Wood Lane in Hawarden, was brought before Mold Crown Court on Tuesday, December 15, and admitted to multiple attempts to arrange sexual activity with children he believed to be teenagers.
The court was informed that he engaged in online conversations with decoys posing as young girls, with the exchanges taking place via WhatsApp and other social media platforms.
He lied about his age, turned conversations sexual, and requested explicit images from the girls.
Despite his guilty plea and claims of regret, the judge described his actions as 'depraved,' noting he should have known better when messaging girls he believed were young enough to be his daughters.
He was sentenced to two years in prison, and a sexual harm prevention order was imposed, requiring him to be registered as a sex offender for the next decade.
