LIVINGSTON MAN SENT SEXUAL MESSAGES TO MINOR, COURT HEARS
A man named Shaun McCutcheon from Fife has been involved in an incident where he sent sexual messages to a teenage girl via social media app Snapchat between September 2019 and February 2020.Court papers show the girl was only 15 years old at the time of the offence.
McCutcheon was ordered to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court, where the sentencing was deferred until March 16 to allow him to confess to his mother about his conviction.
The sheriff noted that McCutcheon had sent messages 'of a sexual nature' to the girl and had acted with the intent of sexual gratification or to humiliate, alarm, or distress her.
The case was set to be concluded after a restriction of liberty order assessment, and it was highlighted that he had not yet informed his mother of the conviction.
