SHANE SEALE FROM KIPPEN FACES MULTIPLE CHARGES INCLUDING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND DANGEROUS DRIVING IN PERTH
Shane Seale, a 47-year-old resident of The Old Nursery in Kippen, has been formally charged with a series of serious offenses that span domestic violence and reckless driving incidents.The allegations against him paint a troubling picture of behavior that has raised significant concern among local authorities and the community alike.
According to the charges, on the evening of November 30, 2018, Seale was involved in an assault on his wife, Margaret.
It is alleged that he physically attacked her by grabbing her by the throat, an act that resulted in injuries.
This incident is part of a broader pattern of aggressive behavior, as Seale is also accused of acting violently on both November 30 and December 1.
Witnesses report that during these days, he repeatedly knocked on the front door of his residence and shouted at his wife, as well as a teenage girl, in what appeared to be episodes of aggressive and intimidating conduct.
In addition to the domestic violence allegations, Seale faces multiple charges related to dangerous driving.
The incidents occurred on December 1, during hours of darkness, and involved reckless and high-risk behavior on the roads.
It is claimed that he drove at excessive speeds towards police officers, narrowly avoided collisions by mounting the kerb, and exceeded speed limits on several roads, including the A84 at Blair Drummond, the B8075 at Kirk Lane, Main Street, and Oakwood Crescent in Kippen.
Witnesses and police reports indicate that his driving was erratic and perilous, forcing police officers to jump clear of his path to avoid being struck.
One of the most serious allegations involves Seale's reckless conduct that resulted in PC Katherine Knox being dragged along the ground.
It is alleged that he culpably and recklessly drove with the vehicle's front door open while under the influence of alcohol, which was found to be over six times the legal limit.
His breath alcohol level was recorded at 113 microgrammes per 100 millilitres, significantly exceeding the legal limit of 22 microgrammes.
The incident took place during late hours, and Seale's condition was described as being 'heavily under the influence of alcohol.' Furthermore, Seale refused to cooperate with a breath test when asked by police and did not provide any information regarding the driver of the vehicle.
His lack of cooperation has added to the severity of the charges against him.
Seale's case is scheduled to be heard before a jury at Perth Sheriff Court on December 4.
His bail has been continued, allowing him to remain free until the trial.
The legal proceedings encompass a total of seven charges, and it is anticipated that the trial will last approximately four days, during which the court will examine the evidence and testimonies related to these serious allegations.
