A PROJECT MANAGER FROM BROUGHTY FERRY HAS BEEN FINED AFTER THREATENING TO POST HIS EX'S INTIMATE SNAPS ONLINE
Scott Ritchie, 43, of Vorlich Avenue, appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court to admit breaching the Abusive Behaviour and Sexual Harm (Scotland) Act 2016.On the evening of Hogmanay last year, he messaged the partner he lived with years earlier.
Prosecutor Stuart Hamilton told Dundee Sheriff Court: “The complainer and the accused engaged in a conversation on Facebook Messenger, which led to an argument.” Ritchie then threatened to post intimate images of the woman online, sharing the images with her to show he had them.
Terrified Ritchie would make good on his threats, the woman contacted police.
Mr Hamilton added the woman is still scared of Ritchie and wanted the court to impose a non-harassment order.
Sheriff George Way fined Ritchie £640 and made a year-long NHO.
