———————————————————————— Monster Scott Mackie has finally been unmasked as a serial abuser and rapist after a jury at Glasgow High Court found him guilty of two rapes and a campaign of domestic abuse that left his victim broken, terrified, and fighting to rebuild her life.
The verdict — described by prosecutors as “the justice she so deserved” — saw Mackie convicted unanimously of rape and domestic abuse, and by majority on a second rape charge.
He will be sentenced on November 18, 2025, when he faces being placed on the Sex Offenders Register for his sickening crimes.
Behind closed doors, Mackie’s victim endured years of cruelty, control, and humiliation.
He stripped away her independence, isolated her from friends and family, and turned her life into a nightmare of fear and silence.
In a devastating victim impact statement, she laid bare the emotional scars left by his abuse: “You deliberately controlled every aspect of my life, even preventing help from reaching me.
Being hidden when I was reported missing made me feel invisible, powerless, and utterly trapped.
It sent a clear message: I was alone, no one could protect me, and my suffering did not matter.
That fear—the knowledge that I could not escape—is something I carry to this day.
The emotional and psychological impact of this abuse has been overwhelming.
I have lived with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, flashbacks, and nightmares.
I have struggled with self-worth, with trusting people, and with forming healthy relationships.
Scott, you taught me fear, shame, and mistrust.
Every decision I have had to make in my life has been shaped by the trauma you inflicted.
Simple things that should have been easy—feeling safe, trusting adults, living without constant worry—have been battles I have had to fight every day.” Her words cut through the courtroom — a haunting reminder of the deep, lasting wounds left by Mackie’s brutality.

The victim was left haunted by flashbacks and nightmares, constantly reliving the horror of being hidden away while the world thought she was missing.

Crown prosecutors confirmed Mackie will be subject to notification requirements and that a Non-Harassment Order will be sought to ensure he can never contact or approach his victim again.
