Caernarfon Sexual Abuser
Salvador Ahmed-Younge, a 39-year-old man from High Street, Llanberis, became the subject of a serious criminal case following his arrest and subsequent sentencing related to multiple allegations of lewd conduct and breaching court orders in the Caernarfon area.

On a Monday at Llandudno Crown Court, Ahmed-Younge was formally sentenced after admitting to a series of offences involving inappropriate and illegal behaviors. His charges included breaching a sexual harm prevention order, committing acts of exposure in a public setting, theft, possession of cannabis, and outraging public decency. The court heard that these incidents took place notably on May 6, and the seriousness of his actions warranted significant legal repercussions.

The court was informed that Ahmed-Younge had previously been subject to a sexual harm prevention order issued to control and restrict his lewd behavior, an order he chose to violate. District Judge Gwyn Jones emphasized the gravity of these breaches, stating that such blatant disrespect for court directives could only result in immediate incarceration. As part of his punishment, the defendant was sentenced to a term of one year in custody. Additionally, a six-month sentence, suspended at the time of sentencing, was activated to run consecutively, ensuring a combined period of incarceration.

Furthermore, the judge ordered Ahmed-Younge to register as a sex offender for a period of ten years, reflecting the nature of his offenses and the risk he posed to the community.

During the proceedings, defense solicitor Deborah Davies highlighted that Ahmed-Younge had a troubled background, noting his history of mental health issues, including four years spent in a secure hospital facility. She explained that the individual had a long-standing struggle with drug use, which reportedly began at a young age, and described his traumatic childhood experiences, suggesting these factors contributed to his behavior.

Judge Jones addressed Ahmed-Younge directly, pointing out that he had exposed himself inside a surgery in the Caernarfon area, a location where vulnerable individuals could be present, raising concerns about community safety. He also remarked on Ahmed-Younge’s previous criminal record, indicating a pattern of non-compliance with court orders and a lack of regard for legal sanctions.

This case underscores the importance of legal measures aimed at protecting the public from individuals who exhibit dangerous and illegal lewd behaviors. The court’s decision reflects a firm stance on holding offenders accountable and ensuring community safety through strict sentencing and supervision.
