SENTENCING ADJOURNED FOLLOWING CHILD ONLINE SAFETY TEAM STING
Ryan Wilkes, who was stung by the Child Online Safety Team UK (COST) during an undercover operation targeting online child predators, has had his sentencing adjourned until 3 November 2025, according to Sussex Police.Wilkes had previously been caught engaging in sexual communication with a child as part of the sting, which led to his arrest and subsequent conviction.
He remains under existing court conditions while awaiting sentencing.
The operation by COST forms part of a wider national effort to expose and bring to justice those attempting to exploit children online.
