MAN JAILED FOR STALKING AND HARASSMENT
On June 26, Ryan Smith, a 31-year-old resident of Eversley, Widnes, faced sentencing at Liverpool Crown Court for several offences.These included stalking that resulted in serious alarm or distress, threatening to damage or destroy property, and harassment related to a breach of a court-issued Restraining Order.
In May, reports indicated that Smith had broken the Harassment Order, which was issued in 2025.
He was found at the victim's property and refused to leave, prompting her to leave the premises.
Smith also made social media contact with the victim, insulting her with derogatory remarks and threatening to damage her home and vehicle.
He further engaged in verbal abuse and issued threats over the telephone.
He was detained and charged on May 29.
