DUSTON MAN RYAN JOHNSON SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT IN NORTHAMPTON
In a case that has shocked the Northampton community, Ryan Johnson, a resident of Duston, has been sentenced to a decade behind bars following his conviction for sexually assaulting a young girl.The incident, which took place two years prior, led to Johnson's arrest and subsequent trial, during which he maintained his innocence despite overwhelming evidence against him.
Johnson, aged 31 at the time of sentencing, faced four counts of child sex offences.
His trial concluded last month with a jury finding him guilty on all charges.

At the sentencing hearing held at Northampton Crown Court on February 11, Her Honour Judge Rebecca Crane addressed Johnson directly.

It has affected her friendships.
Her mother says it has destroyed her confidence.” The court was informed that after the assault, the young girl reached out to a friend via messaging, which ultimately led to her mother being alerted about what had transpired.
This chain of events played a crucial role in bringing Johnson to justice.
As part of his sentence, Ryan Johnson was sentenced to 10 years and nine months in prison.
Additionally, he will be required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life, a measure designed to protect the community and prevent future harm.
