Gedney Drove End Child Sexual Abuser
In August 2019, a disturbing case of online grooming and sexual exploitation unfolded involving Ryan Hiller, also known as Ryan Ayers, from Gedney Drove End. The incident centered around a 14-year-old schoolgirl who was subjected to a prolonged and traumatic ordeal lasting approximately four hours. Hiller, a 29-year-old man, was ultimately sentenced to eight years in prison following a hearing at Lincoln Crown Court on a Friday.

According to court proceedings, Hiller initiated contact with the teenage girl through the Whisper app, a platform often used for anonymous communication. Over the course of their online interactions, he engaged her in conversations that included discussions of perverted sexual interests, notably his fascination with nappies. He persuaded her to send explicit photographs of herself, and in a further breach of trust, he sent her a photograph of his genitals. Prosecutor Siward James-Moore detailed how Hiller's manipulative tactics extended beyond the digital realm, as he arranged to meet the girl in person after school hours.

Hiller met the girl outside a supermarket in Lincoln and then drove her to a nearby field believed to be near Cherry Willingham. There, he forcibly removed her clothing and placed an adult nappy on her, which she wore as he continued to drive her to his residence. The court heard that Hiller then subjected the girl to a series of sexual acts over the next three to four hours inside a caravan located within the grounds of his parents’ home. This prolonged assault caused significant trauma to the young victim.

Meanwhile, her parents had become concerned when their daughter failed to return home from school. They contacted the police, who quickly traced her whereabouts. A friend of the girl reported that she had gone off in a car with a man named Ryan. Law enforcement officers tracked Hiller down and, upon knocking on the caravan door, they found the girl inside. Hiller was promptly arrested, and his mobile phone was seized for investigation.

The police investigation revealed that Hiller had also contacted two other 14-year-old girls, requesting nude photographs from both. Subsequent analysis of his phone uncovered indecent images of these minors, further implicating him in multiple offenses. Hiller faced multiple charges, including three counts of sexual activity with a child related to the girl he took to his caravan, two counts of causing the sexual exploitation of a child, and one count of sexual communication with a child involving the other two girls. Additionally, he admitted to possessing indecent images of children.

During the sentencing, Judge John Pini QC described the girl taken to Hiller’s caravan as “very naive,” emphasizing the gravity of the grooming process. The judge condemned Hiller’s actions as “disgraceful and deeply perverted,” highlighting that these crimes were committed solely for his sexual gratification, regardless of the harm inflicted on the victim. The judge also noted Hiller’s apparent lack of remorse and his obliviousness to the vulnerability of the young females he preyed upon, underscoring the seriousness of his offenses and the need for a lengthy custodial sentence.
