UPTON MAN DENIED RAPING AND SEXUALLY ASSAULTING TEENAGE GIRL
A man from Upton has pleaded not guilty to charges of raping and sexually assaulting a teenage girl nearly two decades ago.Roy Bagnall, aged 66 and residing on Backfields Lane in Upton-upon-Severn, appeared at Worcester Crown Court on Tuesday, May 19, facing 14 allegations of sexual misconduct.
The accusations include one count of rape, three counts of assault by penetration, four counts of sexual assault, and four counts of encouraging a girl under 16 to engage in sexual activities, dating from June 2006 to June 2008.
Additionally, it is claimed that Bagnall committed two counts of voyeurism between May 2004 and May 2006, by secretly observing someone performing a private act for his own sexual gratification without their consent.
Bagnall denied all the charges, and his trial is scheduled to begin at Worcester Crown Court on April 17, 2028.
