TEENAGER LOCKED UP FOR SEXUALLY ABUSING YOUNG BOYS
A teenage individual responsible for multiple sexual assaults on two young boys is now in custody.
Ronnie Ferguson targeted his victims while they were both under the age of 10.
At the time, Ferguson himself was also a minor, and he subjected the children to sexual abuse.
His arrest followed the brave disclosures made by his victims, leading to authorities acting on their reports.
Ferguson admitted to nine charges of sexual assault and was subsequently found guilty after standing trial for an additional nine offences, which included sexual assault and oral rape.
The 19-year-old, residing on Cyncopa Way in Blakelaw, Newcastle, received a sentence of 28 months in a young offender institution.
During the hearing at Newcastle Crown Court, Judge Stephen Earl described the crimes as "horrific".
In addition to imprisonment, Ferguson is required to register as a sex offender and will be subject to a sexual harm prevention order for the next decade.
