RONALD BAILEY FROM HORNSEA CAUGHT WITH OVER 380 INDECENT IMAGES OF BOYS

In a case that has shocked the local community of Hornsea, Ronald Bailey, a 55-year-old man residing on New Road, was found to possess a significant collection of indecent images depicting young boys. The discovery came after police conducted a search of his residence earlier this year, specifically in January, leading to the seizure of his computer equipment.

According to court records, Bailey was found to have accumulated more than 380 illicit images, which were later recovered from his digital devices. The images are classified as indecent and involve minors, raising serious concerns about his conduct and the safety of children.

Bailey appeared before Hull Crown Court to face charges related to the possession of these illegal images. He pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing indecent images of children, a crime that has garnered significant attention given the nature of the material involved.

During the court proceedings, prosecutor David Dickinson outlined the timeline of events, stating, “Police attended the defendant’s home on January 25 and inquired whether he had any images stored on his computer.” The investigation revealed the extent of Bailey’s collection, which prompted the legal action against him.

Judge Michael Mettyear delivered the sentence, which included a six-month prison term, suspended for two years. Additionally, Bailey was ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid community work and was placed under a two-year supervision order. As part of the court’s ruling, Bailey was also registered on the sex offenders register for a period of two years, reflecting the seriousness of his offenses and the potential risk posed to the community.
