In December 2019, a disturbing case emerged involving Robert Taws, a known sex offender from Seaton Delaval, who was found to have violated the strict conditions of his sex offenders' registration.The incident came to light after Taws, who had recently been made homeless due to the exposure of his collection of illegal images depicting children, was allowed to stay at a friend’s house for a week.
