BERWICKSHIRE PENSIONER DOWNLOADED INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN
A PENSIONER who downloaded hundreds of indecent images of children at his home in Birgham, in Berwickshire, has also been placed on the sex offenders register.Seventy-five-year-old Robert Hunter – now living in Towerdykeside, Hawick – committed the offence between December 2019 and November 2020.
Jedburgh Sheriff Court was told 333 still images and two video files were found on a laptop, while a further 11 images were discovered on a hard drive.
Procurator fiscal Fiona Hamilton said the approximate age of the girls in the images ranged from infant to 16.
Sentence was deferred until February 27 for the production of a Criminal Justice Social Work Report and a Restriction of Liberty Order assessment.
