A WROUGHTON MAN DOWNLOADED THOUSANDS OF CHILD ABUSE IMAGES.
At Swindon Magistrates Court, Robert Hamilton of Coronation Road pleaded guilty to three sexual offences.
The court also found him in possession of 2,691 indecent images of children, categorized across different levels of seriousness.
On May 13, Hamilton was sentenced to a two-year community order, requiring him to perform 280 hours of unpaid work and attend 35 days of rehabilitation activities.
He must register as a sex offender for five years and has been issued a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
This order places restrictions on his internet use, social media activity, access to cloud storage, and contact with minors under 16.
Furthermore, he is barred from using the internet to communicate about child sexual abuse with any other individual.
