HEMSBY MAN HANDED SUSPENDED SENTENCE FOR INDECENT EXPOSURE
A former doorman has been handed a suspended sentence of three months in prison for flashing three women in a week.Robert Grayson appeared at Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court on Monday, September 22, where he was given a sentence of 12 weeks in jail, suspended for 18 months.
The 36-year-old, with an address at Fakes Road in Hemsby, previously pleaded guilty to three charges of indecent exposure.
On two of these occasions, he targeted lone women, pretending to ask them for directions, then exposing his penis to them.
The court previously heard that on June 3, Grayson pulled up outside the Hemsby property of a woman he had known for 30 years.
When she came out of her home "to say hello," he wound down the car window and exposed his penis beneath his shorts.
The woman believed he was masturbating, which left her feeling very emotional, confused, and scared.
She later hid beneath a window when she saw his car again.
Two days later, Grayson was parked in Newport Road in Hemsby when he called out to a woman holidaying at Sundowner Holiday Park for directions.
When she approached, he smirked and appeared to be laughing.
She then noticed he had his penis out and was wiggling it around before driving off.
On June 10, around 9:15 am, Grayson drove towards a woman walking on California Road in Scratby.
He asked for directions but was flicking his penis in his hand.
After driving off, she called the police.
Grayson later told officers that "he thought this would help his erectile dysfunction." His sentence also includes monitoring for abstinence from alcohol for 120 days and attending mental health treatment.
