TRIAL FOR MAN WHO DENIES SHARING IMAGE OR FILM OF WOMAN
A MAN has denied two charges relating to sharing a photograph or film of a woman in an intimate state without her consent.Robert Davies, 46, appeared at Llandrindod Wells Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, January 20, where he denied two offences relating to the same victim.
Davies, of Nantiago, Llanfair Waterdine, near Knighton, is alleged to have committed the offences between May 2018 and February 2023.
The first charge states Davies intentionally shared a combination of photograph and film which showed the victim in an intimate state and she did not consent to that.
The second charge is that he shared a combination of photograph and film and intended to cause distress or humiliation to his victim.
Magistrates said they would accept jurisdiction of the case, but told the defendant a trial will take place at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates’ Court.
The trial is scheduled to take place on May 7.
Davies’ previous bail was amended slightly; he is not to contact prosecution witnesses.
