WHITEHAWK MAN IN COURT OVER INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN AND SEXUAL INTERFERENCE WITH A CORPSE
A man has been accused of possessing indecent pictures of children and someone "sexually interfering" with a corpse.Riley Pettitt, who resides in Whitehawk, appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, August 28.
Pettitt, aged 24, has been charged with multiple offences, including possessing indecent photographs of children, extreme pornographic images of animals, and drug offences.
He has also been charged with possession of prohibited images, sexual interference with a corpse, and possession with intent to supply controlled drugs.
Pettitt only confirmed his name, address, and date of birth during the hearing, did not enter a plea, and was released on conditional bail.
He is scheduled to appear at Lewes Crown Court in September.

Riley Pettitt, of Lower Chalvington Place, Whitehawk, pleaded guilty to seven charges at Lewes Crown Court in September.
The 24-year-old has now been sentenced to 30 months in prison for making indecent photographs of children, possessing extreme pornographic images, and being concerned in supplying a controlled drug of class A (MDMA).
He was also made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order and registered as a sex offender indefinitely.
Additionally, a restraining order for five years was imposed.
The full list of charges includes two counts of possessing an extreme pornographic image, possession of a prohibited image of a child, three counts of making indecent photographs of a child, and concern in the supply of MDMA.
Pettitt pleaded not guilty to possessing the drug with intent, which remains on file.
