NORTHUMBERLAND PERVERT JAILED FOR CHILD SEX INCITEMENT
Richard Henderson, 66, of Saint Lawrence Terrace, Warkworth, was found guilty of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
He was jailed for three years, required to sign the sex offenders register for life, and given indefinite sexual harm prevention and restraining orders.
The court heard he turned a conversation with a schoolboy into a sexual proposition, asking if he wanted to have sex with him, despite the victim being in his school uniform.
The judge, Gavin Doig, stated that Henderson's actions were evident and that the victim was an innocent schoolboy, feeling intimidated and scared by Henderson's comments.
Henderson has a history of 40 previous convictions and was previously sentenced in 2024 for damaging a church and threatening to burn it down with a reverend inside.
