NEW CUMNOCK PENSIONER CHARGED WITH SEX ASSAULT ON WOMAN AND GIRL
A PENSIONER is accused of sexually assaulting a woman and a young girl near New Cumnock.Peter Wark pleaded not guilty to the allegations during a brief pre-trial hearing at Ayr Sheriff Court.
The 70-year-old is alleged to have sexually assaulted a woman by repeatedly touching her on the leg and slapping her on the buttocks on May 6, 2025.
The Crown's indictment states he allegedly touched her privates over her clothing during an incident at his address in the Connel Park area.
He faces a further charge of sexually assaulting a child aged under 13 on May 11 last year, allegedly touching her on the breasts, body and privates under her clothing.
The accused denied the alleged offences when he appeared, represented by defence solicitor Robert Logan.
Sheriff Siobhan Connelly continued bail and he will face the charges again at a later date.
