PETER TYNALL FROM NETHER STOWEY SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEXUAL PREDATION IN POLICE STING AT TAUNTON

According to court records and police reports, Tyndall believed he was communicating with a minor between July 19 and August 10, 2022. Unbeknownst to him, the individual he was engaging with was actually a covert officer working for Avon and Somerset Police. Throughout their exchanges, Tyndall sent messages that police described as “sickening and horrific,” detailing his intentions for a “weekend of sexual abuse” involving the child.

Further evidence revealed that Tyndall had purchased gifts and confectionery, seemingly in preparation for meeting the young boy. His plans were thwarted when police officers, having monitored the communications, arrested him before any contact could occur. The police response was swift and decisive, aiming to prevent any harm to the child involved.

During the court proceedings, Tyndall admitted to one count of arranging to incite a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity. His guilty plea led to a sentence of three years and nine months in prison.
