Leamington Spa Sexual Abuser
In February 2019, Peter Brown was sentenced to prison for multiple sexual offences committed against a teenager in Warwickshire.

On 15 February, it was reported that Brown, aged 71 and residing on Shuckburgh Grove in Leamington Spa, received his sentence following a court hearing.

At Warwick Crown Court on 29 January, Brown pleaded guilty to three counts of indecently assaulting a boy during the 1980s.

The offences occurred in 1980 and 1981. The investigation was initiated after the victim, who was between 14 and 15 years old at the time, reported the assaults to police.

Brown, who worked as a stable manager and riding instructor at a Warwickshire stable, met his victim during this period.

Judge Peter Cooke sentenced Brown to two years and ten months in prison.

While delivering the sentence, Judge Cooke described Brown’s actions as "unspeakable and shameful" and emphasized that "it would be a travesty if this didn’t result in an immediate custodial sentence."
