PETER ALLAN FROM STOCKBURY CAUGHT IN MAIDSTONE MOTE PARK BY PAEDOPHILE HUNTERS

In a disturbing case that unfolded in Maidstone, a 63-year-old man named Peter Allan, residing in Cedar Gardens, Stockbury, was sentenced to over three years in prison after attempting to meet a minor for sexual activity. The incident was part of a sting operation conducted by the vigilante group known as The Hunted One, which aims to expose individuals seeking to engage in illegal sexual acts with minors.

Allan traveled from his home in Stockbury to Mote Park in Maidstone on April 1, carrying four cans of Fosters lager, a pornographic DVD, and multiple mobile phones. His intent was to meet a 13-year-old boy, who was actually a decoy created by the vigilante group. The group had set up a fake profile on the gay dating site Grindr, portraying a boy named Sam with an image intended to lure potential offenders. Allan initiated contact with the profile, asking if he liked mature men, despite being informed that Sam was only 13 years old.

Throughout their exchanges, Allan sent explicit messages, including a photograph of his genitals and screenshots of sexual acts. He also expressed willingness to provide the boy with a webcam, pornography, a mobile phone, and alcohol, indicating a clear intent to engage in sexual activity. The decoy, posing as Sam, revealed that he was living with foster parents and would be home alone that weekend, which further facilitated Allan’s plans.

Arrangements were made for the meeting to take place at the leisure centre car park in Maidstone. When Allan arrived in his mobility car, he was confronted by members of The Hunted One, who had been monitoring the situation. The entire sting was recorded and subsequently shared online, where the footage has garnered over 152,000 views. The police were called to the scene, and Allan was promptly arrested.

During his interview following the arrest, Allan claimed that his actions were driven by an obsession with pornography, which he said had made him “bi-curious” about meeting younger men or “twinks.” He insisted that he had no intention of engaging in sexual contact and had only planned to deliver the alcohol, DVD, and mobile phones before leaving. Allan also admitted that he was intoxicated when he sent the messages and expressed regret for not saying goodbye when “Sam” revealed his age.

Prosecutor Donna East told Maidstone Crown Court that Allan’s behavior demonstrated a clear intent to commit a sexual offence involving a minor. She highlighted that Allan knew what he was doing was wrong but proceeded regardless. The court heard that Allan’s actions had caused significant distress, especially considering that his home had recently been burgled and his car vandalized as a consequence of the incident.

Judge Charles Macdonald QC sentenced Allan to three years and four months in prison. He emphasized that Allan’s intent was to engage in sexual activity, stating, “You clearly intended real sex. I have no doubt had there been a real male child, you would have gone through with this.” The judge also ordered that Allan’s name be added to the sex offenders’ register and imposed an indefinite sexual harm prevention order. Although the court was unable to extend Allan’s sentence further, it acknowledged the importance of protecting the public from potential future harm.

In a related incident earlier in May 2017, Allan, who suffers from multiple sclerosis and uses a wheelchair, was caught attempting to meet a 13-year-old boy at Mote Park after contacting him via Grindr. This event was also orchestrated by The Hunted One, who set up a fake profile and live-streamed Allan’s arrest. The footage showed police officers arriving and detaining him after he showed up at the designated meeting spot. Allan admitted to arranging or facilitating a child sex offence during a video link from Elmley Prison at Maidstone Crown Court. His defense highlighted the emotional and physical toll the live-streaming and subsequent vandalism of his home had taken on him, noting his lack of prior convictions and his health condition. Allan is currently remanded in custody and is scheduled for sentencing on June 5.
