ENSTONE MAN JAILED FOR ATTEMPTING TO GROOM A MINOR FOR SEX
A man from Oxfordshire who attempted to incite a child to engage in sexual activity has been jailed.Paul Worth, 60, of Charlbury Road, Enstone, received a sentence of three years in prison along with a lifetime Sexual Harm Prevention Order at Oxford Crown Court on January 10.
Following an investigation by the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEOCU), Worth had previously pleaded guilty in a November hearing of the same court to multiple child sex offences.
These included arranging the commission of a child sexual offence, attempting to have sexual communication with a child, and trying to incite a child to engage in sexual activity.
He also sent explicit images and engaged in sexualised conversations online with an individual he believed to be a 13-year-old girl between August and October last year.
He arranged to meet the girl for sexual activity, traveling to Bicester on October 10, where he was arrested, with officers finding a sleeping bag and pillows in his vehicle.
He pleaded guilty to these charges.
