Meir Blurton Rapist
In a disturbing case that has shocked the local communities of Blurton and Meir in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, two cousins, Paul Price and Andrew Clowes, have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms after committing heinous acts of child abuse against a young girl under the age of 13.

According to court proceedings, Paul Price, aged 66 and residing in Meir, was responsible for grooming the victim over a period of time. His methods included buying her sweets, cakes, and taking her to popular local spots such as McDonald's and nearby parks, all in an effort to gain her trust. Once he had established a rapport, Price subjected the girl to a series of traumatic experiences, including forcing her to watch pornographic films and ultimately tying her to a table where he sexually assaulted her.

The victim, whose identity remains protected by law due to her age, was subjected to unimaginable abuse. After the initial assault by Price, she was taken to the flat of his cousin, Andrew Clowes, in Blurton. The court heard that she fell asleep at Clowes' residence only to wake up later to find herself stripped naked and restrained, tied to a table. Both men then proceeded to sexually assault her in turn, with the girl being bound by her wrists and ankles and gagged with a pair of her own underpants during the attack.

During the trial at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court, it was revealed that both Price and Clowes denied any involvement in the assault. However, a jury found them guilty last month of raping a child under 13. Price faced additional charges, including assaulting a child under 13 by penetration and attempting to rape the young girl. The court heard that the trauma inflicted on the victim will have lasting effects, with the judge describing the acts as a brutal violation of her innocence.

Judge Paul Glenn sentenced Paul Price to 19 years in prison, emphasizing the severity of his crimes and the damage caused to the young girl. Clowes received a 16-year sentence for his role in the abuse. Both men were also subjected to Sexual Harm Prevention Orders and will be registered sex offenders for the remainder of their lives. The court acknowledged that the impact of these crimes will be devastating for the victim, leaving scars that will likely affect her for years to come. The case has left the local communities of Blurton and Meir in shock, highlighting the importance of vigilance and safeguarding vulnerable children from such predatory behavior.
