NEWS: CHESTER ROAD MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO POSSESSING “HUNDREDS OF INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN”
A Sunderland man has admitted possessing hundreds of indecent images of children and is set to be sentenced next month.Paul Monks, 49, of Chester Road near High Barnes, appeared at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court where he pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children.
Police found 387 images in the most serious category (A), along with 144 in category B and 51 in category C, following a search of his home.
Monks is already due to appear at Newcastle Crown Court on December 17 for breaching a sexual harm prevention order.
Magistrates have now ordered that his latest offences be dealt with at the same hearing.
He is also now subject to the notification requirements of the Sexual Offences Act, meaning he must register his details with police within three days.
