PAEDOPHILE PAUL GILLMAN FROM TINTINHULL FACES JAIL FOR TEN SEXUAL OFFENCES IN TAUNTON AND IBIZA
In December 2019, Paul Gillman, a man from Tintinhull, was confronted with serious criminal charges related to his disturbing actions over a span of more than three years.The case involves allegations of sexual offenses committed against underage girls, with Gillman admitting to a total of ten separate acts of sexual penetration involving minors.
Gillman, aged 45 and residing on Leaches Close in Tintinhull, appeared at Taunton Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual penetration of a girl under the age of 13, as well as six counts of sexual penetration of a girl under the age of 16.
These charges stem from incidents that occurred between September 2012 and March 2016, with the victims being girls as young as 11 years old.
The court proceedings revealed that nine of the ten offenses took place within the village of Tintinhull, a small community in Somerset, while the remaining offense was committed in Ibiza, adding an international dimension to the case.
The gravity of the charges was such that Gillman had previously appeared at Somerset Magistrates Court in Yeovil, where the case was deemed sufficiently serious to warrant transfer directly to the Crown Court for trial.
Gillman’s case was scheduled for trial but was resolved through his guilty plea on the day of the hearing.
The court is set to sentence him on Friday, January 10, in Taunton.
Until that time, Gillman remains in custody, awaiting the preparation of a pre-sentence report that will inform the judge’s final decision.
This case highlights the disturbing nature of the offenses and the serious legal consequences that await Gillman, who now faces the possibility of a lengthy prison sentence for his actions against vulnerable minors in both Somerset and Ibiza.
