NORTH STAFFORDSHIRE MAN CAUGHT TRYING TO MEET A 13-YEAR-OLD GIRL FOR SEX
Pervert Paul Dutton, aged 48, engaged in online sexual chats with what he believed to be a schoolgirl.
He sent a live image of himself and later messaged the 'girl, 13' claiming he was performing a sex act.
In reality, he was communicating with an undercover operative.
The North Staffordshire Justice Centre heard that Dutton, of Maureen Avenue, pleaded guilty to attempted sexual communication with a child.
He was sentenced to a two-year community order, including a rehabilitation activity requirement and a sexual offenders programme.
Additionally, he was made subject to a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and was placed on the sex offenders' register for five years.
Prosecutor Hunter Gray outlined that the defendant had started his conversations on Chatiw and moved to Snapchat, attempting to arrange a meeting near his home at Cheddleton.
