Worcester Sexual Abuser
A jury has convicted Paul Davies of Fitzwilliam Close, Dines Green, Worcester, of multiple child sex crimes. Following a five-day trial at Worcester Crown Court, the jury found Davies guilty of two counts of raping a girl under 13 and two counts of assaulting a child under 13 by penetration. He was acquitted of the sexual assault of a child under 13. The court was informed that the alleged offenses began when the girl was just eight years old. Prosecutor Sophie Murray stated that Davies attacked the child on numerous occasions, holding her with one arm while abusing her. Davies, aged 45, who had pleaded not guilty, presented evidence claiming he could not have committed the abuse due to a damaged wrist awaiting surgery. He is scheduled for sentencing on August 8.
