MAN JAILED FOR BREACHING RESTRAINING ORDERS AFTER DOMESTIC ABUSE RELATIONSHIP
A man who persistently breached court orders by contacting his ex-partner has been jailed.
Paul Dale was made the subject of a restraining order and a non-molestation order which prohibited him from contacting her.
But he breached the orders by contacting her, meeting her, and sending her texts.
Now the 38-year-old has been jailed for 15 months at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.
Prosecutor Omar Majid said the defendant and his victim were in a relationship in 2023.
He said: "They had been together for a short period of time but it was characterised by domestic abuse, which continued after the relationship ended.
As a consequence of the defendant's behaviour an application was made for a non-molestation order which was granted on October 22, 2024.
It included prohibiting the defendant from contacting her.
That order was in force until October 22, 2025." He added: "He breached the order shortly after it was imposed by conduct on January 13, 2025 and he received nine weeks in prison on May 2, 2025.
A restraining order was made preventing the defendant from contacting the victim and that order remains in force until May 2, 2027." He said: "Again, on his release from prison, he immediately breached the orders.
From May 2, 2025 the defendant was subject to both the non-molestation order and the restraining order.
On his release, he breached the orders by contacting her, meeting her, and sending her text messages."
