Waddington Man Admits Verbal Abuse Towards Women and Faces Court

A man identified as Paul Coleman, aged 62 and residing on Millers Road in Waddington, has admitted to multiple public order offences after engaging in verbal abuse and inappropriate conduct towards women in the Waddington area during October. According to reports, Coleman caused considerable distress in several separate incidents, starting on October 4 when he entered the waiting room at Cliff Villages Medical Practice in Mere Road and began shouting vulgar language without provocation. Subsequently, on October 10, he committed two offences involving three different women: one at a Co-op pharmacy where he verbally abused individuals, creating fears of violence, and another where he followed and engaged in uncomfortable conversation with a woman, making her feel unsafe. Police further reported that he approached the same woman again on Bar Lane a few days later, initiating unwelcome and inappropriate dialogue. Coleman pleaded guilty to all four public order offences in a hearing on December 5. Additionally, he admitted to breaching four Community Protection Notices issued by North Kesteven District Council. At the court, he was granted an interim Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO), which prohibits him from acting in a manner that causes nuisance, harassment, alarm, or distress to anyone in North Kesteven, until he is sentenced on January 10. Until then, he remains on court bail. A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police stated, 'We continuously monitor people who have had CBOs issued. We proactively release their image so that members of the community can stay clear of their offending and are more able to report an incident if one occurs.'
