PAUL BUCKLEY FROM DOBCROSS RECEIVES COMMUNITY ORDER AFTER OFFENCES IN THE CITY
A local councillor, Paul Buckley, aged 67, from Dobcross, has been handed a community order after being found guilty of downloading indecent images involving young boys. Buckley was convicted on 16 counts related to images of boys aged between six and 17, with authorities revealing that the material included over 300 images.The court highlighted the severity of the offences but also took into account Buckley's lack of previous convictions and non-violent behavior. As part of his sentence, he is also required to sign the sex offenders’ register. Although he narrowly avoided immediate imprisonment, the judge stressed the seriousness of such offences.
