PATRICK DEMPSEY FROM BURNT OAK SENTENCED TO THREE YEARS FOR UNLAWFUL SEX WITH 15-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN HARROW

In a case that has shocked the local community of Burnt Oak and the surrounding areas, Patrick Dempsey, a resident of Blundell Road in Burnt Oak, was formally sentenced to a term of three years in prison following his guilty plea to charges of unlawful sexual activity involving a minor. The incident, which spanned over a period of five years, culminated in a court hearing at Harrow Crown Court where Dempsey appeared before Judge Roger Sanders.

During the proceedings, Dempsey, aged 34 at the time, was visibly emotional, breaking down in tears as the jury reached a unanimous verdict. The jury acquitted him of six counts of rape, two counts of assault, and one count of indecency with a child. Despite these acquittals, the court found him guilty of engaging in unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl who was only 15 years old at the time, a minor who cannot be named publicly due to legal restrictions.

In addition to the three-year prison sentence, Dempsey also pleaded guilty to a charge of battery. The court ordered that he be placed on the sex offenders’ register for life, emphasizing the severity of his actions and the breach of trust involved. The judge remarked during sentencing, “You have pleaded guilty to three instances of having unlawful sexual intercourse. You being 34 years of age and in a position of trust, and she being only 15. The law may have broad shoulders when it comes to dealing with youngsters of a similar age indulging in youthful experimentation, but when it comes to a man of your age, your experience and your position, only a custodial sentence can be considered.”

The court was informed that Dempsey had taken the girl to various secluded locations around the borough, including Copthall Stadium and Partingdale Lane in Mill Hill. It was reported that he engaged in sexual activity with her outside his van at these locations, further highlighting the predatory nature of his conduct. The case has drawn significant attention from local residents and authorities, underscoring the importance of safeguarding minors and maintaining community safety in Burnt Oak and the wider Harrow area.
