OWEN MORRIS FROM FARNDON PLEADS GUILTY TO VOYEURISM AND CHILD PORNOGRAPHY CHARGES IN CHESTER
In January 2009, a serious case involving Owen Paul Morris, a 30-year-old resident of Kingfisher Close in Farndon, came to light at Chester Crown Court.Morris faced multiple charges related to the exploitation and abuse of children, which he ultimately admitted to in a court of law.
Specifically, Morris pleaded guilty to three counts of voyeurism, charges that stemmed from his illegal filming of children while they were changing.
These acts are considered highly invasive and criminal, reflecting a disturbing breach of privacy and trust.
In addition to the voyeurism charges, Morris also admitted to 12 separate offences involving the creation of indecent images of children.
These images, which are considered illegal and morally reprehensible, were found to have been made and possessed by him.
The court also heard that Morris was involved in distributing these images, further aggravating his offences.
During the proceedings, Morris was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register, a legal requirement for individuals convicted of sexual offences, to monitor and restrict his future activities.
The court also imposed restrictions on his interactions, explicitly stating that he is to have no unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 16, aiming to prevent any potential harm.
Morris is scheduled to return to Chester Crown Court on January 23 for sentencing, where the full extent of his punishment will be determined.
