TEENAGER CAUGHT WITH HORRIFYING CHILD ABUSE VIDEOS AND BESTIALITY
A teenager described as 'bored' has been apprehended with a collection of nearly two days' worth of disturbing content involving child abuse videos and bestiality.Oren Bruce was found with this material after police received information that he had uploaded a video of child sexual abuse to Snapchat.
Authorities raided his residence and confiscated a black Sony mobile device which contained over 1,000 images and videos.
Bruce attributed his actions to boredom and a lack of routine.
Court proceedings revealed the mobile contained 481 videos and 23 images classified as the most severe category A, alongside numerous other videos and images in different categories.
The material included extreme pornography, sadomasochistic acts, sexual acts involving children and adults, and bestiality with animals.
The files' creation dates ranged from August 16, 2021, to September 2, 2021, with a total combined runtime of over 43 hours.
Additionally, chat logs on the device showed Bruce had shared 21 videos of child abuse via Telegram.
Pleading guilty to multiple offenses, including possession and distribution of indecent images and extreme pornography, Bruce's legal team noted he was unemployed and not receiving support at the time, citing boredom as a motive.
Since offending, he has found employment as a general laborer in Aberdeen.
The court, after considering the severity of his involvement, opted for a community sentence comprising a three-year supervision order, 200 hours of unpaid work, and participation in the 'Moving Forward, Making Changes' program.
He is also subject to police notification requirements for three years.
