CAERPHILLY: DOCTOR DENIES SEXUALLY ASSAULTING WOMAN

A DOCTOR is to stand trial after he pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting a woman.

Olugbenga Fakande, 66, denied two counts of sexual assault and one of attempted sexual assault in Caerphilly between 2017 and 2019.

The defendant is due to go on trial on January 25, 2027 with the case expected to last four days.

He was granted unconditional bail after appearing before Judge Lucy Crowther at Cardiff Crown Court.

Fakande, of Cwmcelyn Road, Blaina was represented by Owen Williams and the prosecution by Alex Orndal.
