A violent offender, Nigel Armstrong, aged 39 of Drayton Avenue, West Ealing, has been sentenced to life imprisonment at Isleworth Crown Court on a Friday, May 28th, under legislation mandating a life sentence for a second violent offence.
He was convicted on two charges related to two women, one of rape and another of indecent assault.
However, he was acquitted of charges including assaulting the first woman, attempting to kidnap her, raping the second woman, and attempting to rape her.
The judge, Sam Katkhuda, described Armstrong as a dangerous man whose actions, threats, and attitude towards women reflect a significant future risk.
The court noted his manipulative and scheming behavior, lying under oath, and lack of remorse, emphasizing that he posed a continuing danger to women.
The police highlighted the case as a positive result for victims and law enforcement, particularly noting the support of Operation Sapphire.
