WREXHAM MAN FACES ANIMAL POSSESSION CHARGES DESPITE COURT BAN
A man identified as Nicholas John Low, aged 53, residing at Ty Isoe, Maes Maelor, Llandegla near Wrexham, is facing charges related to the illegal keeping of pets despite a previous ban.In 1998, Low was prohibited from possessing pets for a period of 10 years.
However, he is now accused of keeping multiple animals, including a German shepherd crossbreed, a collie cross, a Rottweiler-type dog, and two cats.
The case was brought forward by the RSPCA, indicating potential animal neglect or violation of the earlier ban.
Low appeared at Wrexham Magistrates' Court where he stated he planned to argue 'abuse of process.' A trial date was scheduled for April 7, with Low ordered to clarify his grounds for this claim within 14 days.
The court proceedings highlight concerns about his compliance with animal welfare laws and previous restrictions against him possessing pets.
The case remains open as Low has yet to be convicted, with the outcome pending the scheduled trial.
