ABERDEEN LOVE RAT SENT WOMAN VILE MESSAGES AFTER SHE ENDED AFFAIR
Car salesman Neil Erskine, 31, sent abusive messages to a woman and also tailed her in his company car.
He appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court, where he was sentenced for sending offensive messages and repeatedly following the woman he had a brief relationship with.
The court ordered him to be barred from contacting or approaching the woman for the next 10 years.
Despite pleading guilty, Erskine still does not accept he did anything wrong.
The case revealed he began seeing the woman in October 2024, after which he called her a string of abusive names in a voicemail and sent vulgar messages when she broke things off.
He continued following her in his vehicle, using his company car on multiple occasions, including as she left her work and when she was entering her own car.
The court noted his prior conviction, but details were not provided.
Sheriff James Hastie highlighted that Erskine took no responsibility for his behaviour despite his guilty plea, and he was sentenced to 120 hours of unpaid work over the next 12 months, along with a 10-year contact ban.
