Newcastle Child Sexual Abuser
A man named Nathan Thomas, aged 23, was found to possess and distribute vile images and videos depicting child abuse, including a baby between two and six months old being subjected to sexual abuse. The police seized his phone at his home in November 2021 and discovered that it contained 22 Category A images, consisting of 12 still images and 10 videos, along with 5 Category B still images and two images of extreme pornography. The court heard that Thomas communicated with another person via an app, engaging in highly detailed and graphic conversations about raping and torturing children, including unborn babies. He repeatedly referenced child sexual abuse, suggesting them to become childminders, and described a child as a 'f**k toy'. Thomas also sent two Category A videos and expressed willingness to murder children during sex acts. He has no previous offending history and was 20 when these incidents occurred. The court sentenced him to two years and three months in prison for distribution of Category A images, making indecent images, and possessing extreme pornography. The judge emphasized the severe harm caused to children and highlighted the ongoing demand for such material on the internet.
