ST HELENS MAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED RAPE AND SUFFOCATION
A MAN from St Helens has been charged with offences including attempted rape of a woman and intentional suffocation.
Nathan Lee, of Hempstead Close, Sutton Heath, is alleged to have committed the offences on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
Merseyside Police confirmed that 23-year-old Lee has been charged with assault by penetration, attempted rape, assault causing actual bodily harm (ABH), intentional strangulation and intentional suffocation.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court today, Monday, January 5.
