GWYNEDD PAEDOPHILE 'FILMED HIMSELF HAVING SEX WITH A DOG'
A man from Gwynedd was discovered filming himself having sexual intercourse with a dog and was found to possess hundreds of indecent images of children.Prosecutor Catherine Elvin stated that Ellis was taken into custody at his residence in May 2023 following police reports indicating he had uploaded child abuse images to the Kik messaging platform.
Multiple electronic devices were confiscated and examined, including a Samsung mobile phone and an SD card.
On the phone, authorities uncovered 21 images and four videos categorized as “category A” (the most severe level of indecency), 12 images classified as category B, 24 images and one video in category C, as well as 29 videos depicting extreme pornography.
The extreme videos showed a man engaging in sexual acts with a dog, seemingly recorded in Ellis’ bedroom.
Further videos revealed Ellis seemingly confessing to having engaged in sexual activity with a dog.
The SD card contained 542 images and 193 videos of “category A,” 371 images and 110 videos of “category B,” and 167 images along with 93 videos of “category C.” The children depicted in these materials appeared to range in age from approximately one to sixteen years old.
Chat logs revealed that Ellis had discussed child sex offenses with others online and had requested an individual to send him images of his daughter.
This person, who Ms.
Elvin noted is currently under police investigation, sent Ellis a child's underwear, to which he responded by sending a picture of himself holding the underwear alongside his genitals.
Myles Wilson, representing Ellis—who has three prior convictions for four offenses—stated that Ellis has been residing in a mental health facility but has a “realistic prospect of rehabilitation.” Wilson added that Ellis “wants to address this behavior and attempt to rebuild his life.” He also noted that since these offenses came to light, Ellis has faced social rejection from family and friends, lost his employment, slept in his car, and has made suicide attempts.
In sentencing, Judge Rhys Rowlands agreed to suspend Ellis’ term, expressing some reservations.
Ellis was mandated to complete a demanding rehabilitation program and a drug treatment plan.
He is also required to register as a sex offender and comply with a sexual harm prevention order for ten years.
Furthermore, he is prohibited from working with children or vulnerable adults.
